Aviation is supposedto feel like this.
Flying is getting expensive and lonely, and the places that made it feel like a community are vanishing. Jaybird is our answer: world-class training tools priced for regular people, in a room built for pilots to belong. Come for the affordable hours — stay for the people.

Same mission across flight school, software, and this room: make aviation more accessible, less lonely, and worthy of the obsession that got us here in the first place.
Desert Skies ecosystem“I did not want another place where you pay for sim time and leave. Aviation already has enough of that. I wanted the room I wished existed when I was a student — coffee on the counter, people to ask, mentors in the wild, and serious tools that do not punish your bank account for every mistake.”
Why Jaybird, why now.
We missed the airport living room. So we built one with Redbird time, decent coffee, and an open door.
Aviation used to have a place.
Hangars, FBO couches, flying clubs — spots where you could be around airplanes and people who spoke the language. That still happens, but the rhythm is harder to find. Schedules are tight, money is loud, and a lot of pilots end up training in isolation.
We are not anti-school. We are anti-lonely.
Flight schools move the metal. Jaybird is where you get reps, ask the embarrassing question, and meet someone who just survived the checkride you are staring down. The simulators are how we make that affordable; the community is why it sticks.
Grassroots GA needs a new living room.
Between rising costs and airport politics, the culture needs defenders. Jaybird is our bet that if we build a welcoming lounge — with modern tools and old-school hospitality — pilots will show up for each other the way they always have.
If you love flying, you have a place here.
Student pilots, airline pilots, veterans, sim nerds, golfers who just like the vibe — come study, hang out, and be part of the network. We are building this with the people who walk through the door.
Built to linger.Built to welcome.
Training bays when you need focus. Couches when you need to debrief. A kitchen that sees pizza nights and late-night weather briefs. It should feel like a lounge you are proud to bring a student to — not a sterile rental counter.

The standard we hold ourselves to.
Community before transaction.
If the only reason to show up is a bill, we missed the point. Membership should feel like joining a hangar, not a vending machine.
Tools have to work.
LOAs current, motion tuned, visuals sharp. Reliable equipment is respect for your time.
Keep the door open.
Students, pros, veterans, curious neighbors — everyone who loves aviation should feel like they can pull up a chair.
Anti-gatekeeping, not anti-business.
We charge fair rates because the mission needs a sustainable home — not because we are trying to squeeze every Hobbs dollar out of you.
