Equipment Damage Policy
1. Care and compliance
Member must operate equipment only as instructed by Jaybird staff, manufacturer documentation where provided, and posted rules.
2. Responsibility for damage
Member is financially responsible for physical damage, loss, or theft of Jaybird property caused by Member’s **misuse, negligence, recklessness, unauthorized modification, failure to report hazards**, **food or liquid** where prohibited, or **intentional acts**.
3. Estimates and billing
Jaybird will document damage (including photos where appropriate) and provide a **reasonable itemized estimate** before charging, except for emergencies where immediate mitigation is required. Member authorizes charges to the payment method on file or invoice delivery to the account email.
4. Repair or replace
Jaybird may elect to **repair or replace** equipment at its discretion. Member agrees to pay the reasonable cost of the chosen remedy.
5. Normal wear and tear
Normal wear and tear is not chargeable.
